Placenta encapsulation has a host of benefits according to the anecdotes. While not well-studied, many who choose encapsulation report reduced incidence of mood disorders and increased milk supply. Some users do report opposite effects, however, so it is important to be mindful about the consumption of your placenta during the postpartum period. I cannot provide dosing guidelines or advice with regards to particular medical conditions, but I can provide a safely processed placenta product for you to consume as you see fit.
My fee for encapsulation is $300. When you decide to move forward with this service, a contract will be signed and a $150 deposit is secured. Your placenta will be picked up at your birthing location as soon after your birth as possible to ensure proper refrigeration and storage, and I will process it in my home kitchen (after a very thorough disinfection process). Except in extenuating circumstances where I may be called in to accompany another client in labor, your placenta will be processed and your capsules and cord keepsake returned to you at the birth place or your home. The remainder of the fee is due upon delivery of your capsules.
Please Note: I generally encapsulate using gelatin capsules. Please let me know if you require vegetarian capsules when we speak.
